When to drink collagen? How long should we use it?

You often ask us questions about when to drink collagen –in the morning or in the evening, how long should collagen supplementation last and whether you should take a break after drinking a certain number of bottles. In this article, we will explain all the issues that bother you!

Collagen in the morning, collagen in the evening?

Theoretically, the time of day is not that critical when it comes to applying our collagen.

In our opinion, however, it’s good to reach for a shot in the morning, right after breakfast. First of all, it is better not to take supplements on an empty stomach (unless the manufacturer recommends otherwise), and secondly – in our preparation we find a lot of protein that is responsible for the feeling of satiety for a long time. Therefore, we will not be tempted to reach for unhealthy snacks right after breakfast. Thirdly, drinking collagen in the morning can be treated as a ritual for health, beauty and better well-being. However, if you forget about it after breakfast, remember to catch up and drink it as soon as possible – only regular use of collagen gives visible results!

How much collagen should I use?

We already know when to drink collagen. What about the length of supplementation? Here a lot depends on the individual needs. If we have only recently lost the natural ability to produce it (i.e. we are around 26 years of age), often a monthly treatment is enough to notice the first effects in the form of smoothing wrinkles or skin firming. Seniors, people suffering from osteoarticular system ailments, usually have to wait 3 months to feel better. Do you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis? As a supportive measure in this disease, you should use collagen for half a year. As already mentioned, how long we should take collagen for is very individual. Let’s observe ourselves, be patient, let’s reach for shots every day, and the effects will appear sooner or later!

Collagen break – is it needed?

From the length of supplementation, we move on to the next issue – should we stop using collagen after some time? If so, for how long? Here, too, there is no strictly defined time frame, although it is generally assumed that the break should not be longer than 3 months. If we discontinue collagen for a long time, troublesome problems with joints or lack of skin firmness can quickly return. Some people, instead of completely giving up our collagen, drink shots less frequently, e.g. every few days. It is also a great way to maintain the positive effects of its operation.

Remember that the key to better well-being is always regularity and taking long-term actions. If you have other questions related to the intake of collagen in your mind, read also the articles:
